![]() I realize that this probably isn't the right sub forum to be asking these questions but If someone can answer the last 2 questions, that would be appreciated and that will be the last of my inquires on this topic.Įh? What? Oh for. If so, why do I still have the option to update Photoshop CC? Maybe having all these versions might be the cause of that.Īre Photoshop and Photoshop CC now one in the same? I haven't noticed any major issues with any of these Apps other than being a bit slower to start up than what they use to. I find it strange that hasn't happened with the latest updates I've done I've had this Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop/Lightroom program for 5-6 years and I do seem to remember getting some sort of notification in the past that older versions would be removed as they were being updated. If that is the case, I was never asked if I wanted to delete these particular older versions of each Application when they were being updated. I assuming that I have 3 different versions of Photoshop and Bridge, and 2 versions of Lightroom installed? ![]() The two installed versions seem to be working independently from each other.Īs an example, if I open the 2018 version and use a certain tool, say the crop tool, and then close that version, I then open up the 2020 version and the tool last used in that version, say the brush tool, is still active.īelow are the two versions currently installed.Īfter checking out the Adobe Desktop Application, I see this. When I started the update from the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps screen, the new Photoshop logo was showing as the process started.īelow that, the older Photoshop CC logo appeared with an "Update" tab beside it.Īfter the update was done, the older Photoshop CC logo disappeared and it no longer shows in the Apps list. I thought newer version updates are supposed to overwrite the prior versions? ![]() I did nothing to change the automatic update process. I let the update process do what it was going to do. I've done an update recently after not having done one for a while.Īfter doing the update, I now have both 20 versions installed on the desktop. ![]() I have Photoshop CC installed on my desktop.
